Tour Overview
This 5-day tour offers a perfect combination of history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. Your adventure begins in Bishkek, followed by a scenic drive to Chon-Kemin National Park. On the way, visit the famous Burana Tower, a UNESCO-listed historical site and the remaining structure of the ancient Silk Road city of Balasagyn (10th–11th centuries). Explore the tower (24 meters high), ancient balbals (stone carvings), archaeological ruins, and the small museum displaying artifacts from the Karakhanid period. Continue to Chon-Kemin Valley, known for its green meadows, mountains, and peaceful rural atmosphere. Overnight in a cozy guesthouse. On Day 2, travel along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake toward Karakol. Enjoy a city tour including the unique wooden Dungan Mosque and the historic Holy Trinity Cathedral. Day 3 brings adventure as you travel by Russian 4x4 vehicle to Altyn-Arashan. The off-road mountain journey passes through forested valleys and rocky terrain. Relax in natural hot spring pools surrounded by alpine scenery before returning to Karakol. On Day 4, travel to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Visit the striking red rock formations of Jeti-Ögüz, stop in Kyzyl-Suu village, and hike to a waterfall in Barskoon Valley. Overnight in Tosor village guesthouse. On the final day, return to Bishkek with a stop at the colorful sandstone formations of Skazka Canyon. Arrival in Bishkek marks the end of the tour.
