🇰🇬 Kyrgyzstan
The Tian Shan Glaciers Zone is one of the most extreme and spectacular natural environments in Kyrgyzstan. Located across the central and eastern Tian Shan mountain ranges, it contains massive glacier systems that feed major rivers and shape the region’s alpine landscapes. Tian Shan Glaciers Zone includes famous glacier systems such as the Inylchek Glacier, one of the largest non-polar glaciers in the world, and ice fields surrounding peaks like Jengish Chokusu (Pobeda Peak). The region is characterized by frozen rivers, deep ice valleys, and towering snow-covered mountains. This zone is extremely remote and accessible mainly to experienced mountaineers and scientific expeditions. Weather conditions are harsh, with freezing temperatures, strong winds, and unpredictable storms even in summer.
