Sokuluk Gorge is a wide mountain valley located in the Kyrgyz Ala-Too range, west of Bishkek. It is carved by the Sokuluk River, which flows through forested slopes, rocky canyons, and alpine meadows. The lower part of the gorge is easily accessible and used for recreation, while the upper sections become more rugged and transition into high-mountain terrain. Sokuluk is also closely connected to Belogorka Gorge, where one of the region’s highest waterfalls is located. The area is popular among local hikers and nature travelers due to its proximity to the capital and its combination of forests, rivers, and mountain scenery. It offers both easy walking routes and more challenging trekking paths deeper into the valley.
