🇰🇬 Kyrgyzstan
Pamir-Alay Border Area is a large mountainous region in southern Kyrgyzstan located along the natural frontier between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. It forms part of the broader Pamir-Alay mountain system, where the western Tian Shan and northern Pamirs intersect. The area includes some of Kyrgyzstan’s most dramatic landscapes, such as the Alay Valley, the Trans-Alay Range, and high-altitude routes near Sary-Tash and surrounding settlements. Towering peaks, glacial valleys, and wide alpine pastures define the scenery. This region has historically been part of the Silk Road corridor and is still used today as a strategic transit and nomadic grazing zone. It remains sparsely populated, with seasonal yurts and herding communities occupying the summer pastures.
