Tuyuk Gorge is a lesser-known but highly scenic mountain valley located within the Issyk-Ata gorge system in the Kyrgyz Ala-Too range. It lies about 70–80 km from Bishkek and branches off from the main Issyk-Ata valley into a quieter, more remote alpine landscape. The gorge is characterized by mixed forests of spruce and shrubs, narrow river passages, and wide green slopes used as seasonal pasture. As elevation increases, the terrain becomes more alpine, leading toward high passes that connect neighboring valleys such as Kegety and Kok-Moinok. One of the key highlights associated with Tuyuk Gorge is the access route toward Kok-Moinok Lake via high mountain paths, making it a popular destination for longer hikes and less-crowded trekking experiences compared to more famous nearby gorges.
