Kok-Ayrik Pass is a remote mountain pass in the northern Tian Shan range. It sits at nearly 3,900 meters above sea level and connects isolated alpine valleys and high pastures between the Chong-Kemin area and the northern Issyk-Kul basin. The pass is known for its extremely rough terrain, seasonal accessibility, and dramatic high-mountain landscapes. The road is unpaved and often affected by landslides and snow, making it suitable mainly for experienced off-road travel or trekking expeditions rather than regular transport. From the summit area, travelers can see vast alpine ridges, deep valleys, and distant snow-covered peaks of the Tian Shan mountains. Due to its remoteness, the region remains largely untouched and rarely visited.
