Chon-Kemin Valley is a long, green alpine valley located east of Bishkek in the northern Kyrgyz Ala-Too range. It is part of the Chon-Kemin National Park, a protected area preserving forests, rivers, wildlife, and traditional nomadic landscapes. The valley stretches for more than 100 km and features a combination of spruce forests, alpine meadows, and river ecosystems. It is one of the most ecologically diverse regions near Bishkek, often called a “green corridor” of the Tian Shan. Chon-Kemin is especially popular for horseback trekking, rafting, hiking, and yurt stays. It also serves as a cultural destination where visitors can experience traditional Kyrgyz nomadic life in a relatively untouched environment.
