Issyk-Kul
Kichi-Aksuu River is a high-altitude tributary of the Ak-Suu river system located in the Terskey Ala-Too mountains of the Issyk-Kul region. It originates from snowfields and small glaciers high above the Karakol and Ak-Suu valleys. In its upper sections, the river is narrow, cold, and highly energetic, cutting through steep alpine terrain and moraine landscapes. As it descends, it passes through forested valleys and alpine meadows that are used seasonally for grazing. The river contributes to the larger Ak-Suu watershed, which is one of the most important hydrological systems in eastern Kyrgyzstan. It also supports trekking routes and natural corridors connecting valleys such as Altyn Arashan and Karakol Gorge.
