🇰🇬 Kyrgyzstan
Kel-Suu Trekking Zone is a high-altitude expedition area located in the southeastern part of the Naryn region, near the Kyrgyz–Chinese border. The route passes through the Kok-Kiya Valley, one of the most isolated and scenic valleys in the country. The trek leads to Kel-Suu Lake, a striking turquoise alpine lake situated at around 3,500 meters above sea level. The lake is surrounded by steep limestone cliffs, narrow canyon walls, and vast high mountain pastures filled with yurts and grazing livestock during summer. Kel-Suu Trekking Zone is considered one of the most adventurous trekking destinations in Kyrgyzstan due to its remoteness, border location, and limited infrastructure. The final approach to the lake is typically done on foot or horseback from base camps in the valley. The environment is completely wild and isolated, offering dramatic silence, vast mountain panoramas, and some of the most untouched landscapes in Central Asia.
