The Arslanbob Waterfalls Area is located near Arslanbob village in the Babash-Ata mountains of the Jalal-Abad region. The site includes two main waterfalls—commonly called the Big Waterfall and the Small Waterfall—surrounded by the world’s largest natural walnut forest. The Big Waterfall drops from a height of about 80 meters, forming a narrow, powerful stream that flows through a steep rock crevice. It is especially dramatic during spring when snowmelt increases the water volume. The surrounding terrain is rugged, and access requires a hike or horseback ride through mountain paths. The Small Waterfall is more accessible and stands around 25–30 meters high. It is located closer to the village and is surrounded by forested slopes, making it a popular short hike for visitors. The entire area is part of a wider cultural and ecological landscape that includes walnut forests, alpine meadows, and sacred sites such as the nearby cave often associated with local legends. The region is also deeply connected to traditional rural life and seasonal harvesting activities.
